Harry Potter: Ice Chamber/ Fanfiction

Note to all readers: This is my first HP fanfiction I've ever written.....I've gotten much better since then....I thought I'd share this with you all^^



Chasing after the Golden Snitch in a game against Huffelpuff, Harry zooms and zags all over the place. Gryffindor was in lead with 50 to 30. Ron and Hermione cheered as they watched from their regular seats in the high bleachers. Maggie Waters was the seeker for Hufflepuff. She had long wavy, blonde hair and was a 6th year like Harry. Her long hair was pulled back into a pony tail. She was a size 7. And flew what seemed faster than Harry. She managed to dodge every shake Harry would try to play her with. Maggie's light complection was ivory tone. She also had light blue eyes same as Harry. She looks at him as she flies past him. Harry and Maggie fly equally matched it seemed. Even though Maggie's broom was only a Nimbus 2000, while Harry had a FireBolt. Gifted from his Godfather; Sirius Black. A known criminal who escaped from Azkaban.....
Eith Harry nor Maggie could reach the golden Snitch which was right in front of their eyes....Harry tried with all his might to grab it....He saw a Bludger come toward Maggie!! She saw it then too. But not quick enough! The Bludger hit her and she fell off her broom! Hitting the ground hard!

Lee Jordon- Harry Potter has caught the Snitch!! Gryffindor wins!!!!!!

But Harry could care less. He flew down and ran over to Maggie...A few Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors gathered around them.....As did Ron and Hermione. And Hagrid of course. Harry knelt down to Maggie.

Harry- Maggie are you ok?
Maggie- I think...my...arm.....
Harry- Hagrid, can you take her to the hospital wing?
Hagrid- Of course right away.
Harry- Thanks Hagrid. (He turns to Maggie) Can you get up?
Maggie- I...think....

He helped her up...

Maggie- Thank you Harry.........
Harry- You're welcome. I'm glad I could help.
Hermione- Now that's a real geltemen.

Harry smiled at Hermione.
Justin- Harry...thanks for helping Mags..
Harry- No problem.....

Since that day , Harry couldn't seem to stop thinking about Maggie. She would always smile at him. Everytime they meet Harry got all blushy.

Ron- You wanna talk?
Harry- Huh?
Ron- Maggie...

He and Harry were coming to the Gryffindor Common room.....

Harry- What brought this on?
Ron- Come on Harry.....It's obvious.
Hermione- What's obvious?

Ron- Hey! I thought you were at the library.

She kissed him.....(Ron is going out with Hermione in this story^^)

Hermione- You are to cute for words.
Ron- Well, thank you. (grinning)
Hermione- So.....what are you two talking about?
Ron- Maggie.
Hermione- Oh, Miss. Waters herself huh?
Harry- I don't know what you two are talking about.
Hermione- So have you talked to her yet?
Harry- No. And I'm not going to. I'm not going to take anymore of you two trying to find me someone. When she comes, she comes.
Look, I'm happy for you two. Really I am.....I'm just not ready for a serious relationship.
Ron- You'll re-think that when whoever "she" is comes along.
Harry- I've already had two relationships go sour on me cause I made the first move. Now I'm going to let whoever "she" is to make the first move.

Ron and Hermione did nothing but smile.

Harry- What?
Hermione & Ron- Nothing.

Later that day.......
Harry sat in the library. He was reading a book about Quidditch.

Maggie- I like that book.
Harry- You do?
Maggie- Yeah.
Harry- Well, being a Seeker yourself.......
Maggie- A girl Seeker actually. And there's nothing easy about being one.
Harry- Yeah. I guess you got me there.
Maggie- I like playing with boys more than girls anyway....The girls get too scared and it's not a challenge.

She sat down infront of him. For the first time Harry noticed she had light blue eys.

Maggie- Of all the other Seekers I believe you are the best.
Harry- Thanks. You're pretty good yourself.

Harry didn't even notice the time til he looked up at the clock. He's been in the library for three hours straight just talking to Maggie. He didn't get no work done.

Maggie- Look at the time.
Harry- I know. Well, I'd better get back to the common room.
Maggie- Yeah. I better also. Thanks for the talk Harry.
Harry-No problem......

And they both left the library together.

Harry entered the common room.

Ron- Where have you been?
Harry- Excuse me?
Ron- We were set to play Wizard Chess remember?
Harry- Oh gosh man , I guess I just forgot. I was just in the library.
Ron- That long?
Harry- I got keyed on this book.
Ron- You've read that a million times Harry.
Harry- Yeah? Well, maybe I ran into someone......
Ron- Like who?

Harry didn't want to tell Ron it was Maggie.

Harry- Justin.
Ron- Justin from Hufflepuff? What could you two talk about for three straight hours?
Harry- You'd be surprised.....

With that.....Harry and Ron walked up to the boy's dorm......

The next day.......

Harry Ron and Hermione sat in Transfigurations......They were doing a written test. Every now and then, Maggie would look up at Harry and smile. He tried not to smile back. But it was hopeless. So he smiled at her.
Later they were all at dinner.....

Hermione- You know.......the Valentine Day ball is coming up.
Ron- Really?
Hermione- Ron!
Ron- I know ok! So...Harry, who are you taking?
Harry- I don't know yet.

Of course he did know.......He wanted more than anything to take Maggie. No guessing who Ron was going with this time. Hermione seemed to remind him everyday. But this was the first year Dumbledore had elected to a Valentine's Day ball. So everyone was of course very excitted. And any one was invitted.
Harry knew today he was going to ask Maggie to go with him . So after breakfast, Harry left the Great Hall to find her. He did in a corridior. Luckily, Ron and Hermione were no where to be found.

Harry- Maggie. Can I ask you something?
Maggie- Sure.
Harry- May I escort you to the Valentine's Day ball?
Maggie- Oh.....Um.....Harry that's sweet....but.......
Harry- I've heard this before.....I'll se ya around.....
Maggie- Harry!

Harry didn't stop.......He didn't stop. She watched him walk away.
Harry leaned on a railing out side the Hogwart's entrance. Ron and Hermione finally found him.

Hermione- There you are. Are you ok?

No words were soken. Harry left and went back inside.

Hermione- What was that about?

Ron just shrugged his shoulders. Slouching , Harry walked up the stairs.....A Hufflepuff girl ran up to him...

Anna- Harry? Have you seen Maggie?
Harry- What's wrong?
Anna- All I know is....she's really upset. And thought you could make her feel better. Then anothe Hufflepuff boy came up to them....

Hufflepuff boy- Susan found her....In Moaning Mrytel's bathroom.....

Harry ran straight to the bathroom....He went in...and found Maggie sitting on the floor with her head in between her knees crying.

Harry- Maggie?
Mrytel- Hello Harry......
Harry- Hello Myrtel.....

Harry knelt down to Maggie slowly.....

Harry- Maggie? Are you ok?

She finally sat up and leaned up against the wall.......
